Star Wars Zero Company will launch on August 27 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, the single-player title brings turn-based squad tactics to an original story set during the final period of the Clone Wars.
A company built around player choice
Players take command of Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads the unconventional unit known as Zero Company. The squad mixes authored characters with customizable operators, creating room for a personal roster without abandoning the relationships and story arcs expected from a Star Wars campaign.
Each character receives three action points per turn. The player’s full squad acts before the enemy phase begins, making positioning, ability combinations and target priority central to every encounter. Between deployments, the company returns to a base called the Den, where the team can be managed and prepared for the next mission.
An original threat in a familiar era
The campaign follows Zero Company as it investigates the Infinite Coil, a new adversarial force led by Kundri Fathom. Placing that conflict near the collapse of the Republic gives the developers a recognizable political backdrop while allowing the squad’s mission to stand apart from the central film storyline.
That combination is important for the game’s identity. Zero Company is not simply retelling a known battle with a different camera angle; it is using the uncertainty of the era to support a smaller, character-driven military story.
The August release also arrives during a busy international games calendar. Its focus on a complete single-player campaign, customizable personnel and deliberate tactical combat may help it reach both strategy players and Star Wars fans looking for a new corner of the universe.
